Introduction

Information is based on the 2012 event.

Get the feeling that you could be making more out of your time at University? There are a wealth of opportunities out there to help you get the most out of your time at Stirling. Getting involved could make you more employable and you might even have some fun along the way.   

This is... Your Life will provide you with the inspiration to get started with making the most of University.

With speakers and representatives from a wide range of organisations providing different options from paid internships and work experience, to volunteering in the UK and overseas, This is...Your Life is a great place to start developing your career.  

Just in case all of that is not enough incentive to come along, everyone attending the event will be in with a chance of winning an iPod Touch.

After all, this is YOUR life – go and live it.  Registration not open (you will need to register on our events system if you have not already done so)

What’s happening on the evening?

This is...Your Life is a brilliant opportunity to explore ways to develop valuable skills and experience outside academia while you are still at University.  Through a series of speakers and organisations hosting stands you will be able to discover what opportunities there are. Whether you are interested in part-time work, travelling abroad, summer work experience, volunteering or starting your own business, this event will help you see what is available to you.

Speakers

During the evening you will have the opportunity to hear from speakers from a variety of different organisations.

Stands

A wide range of organisations will be available on stands in the Crush Hall.  Find out more about what they offer  by chatting to their representatives about the huge range of exciting opportunities available from travelling the world to working for a top 100 company; to volunteering or working for a charity; to starting your own business and becoming the next dragon in the den! 

There will also be a stand from the Career Development Centre with lots of Advisers on hand to answer any questions you have.
